A: Typically sweet rice flour is used for making mochi. This is not the same.

**Q: Is the rice rinsed to remove cyanide poisin from it?**
A: I wasn't there for the process...so I don't know anything about it. I CAN say that Bob's Red Mill has an excellent reputation for healthy products. I trust this brand.
