XpandNo Tie Shoelaces System with Elastic Laces - One Size Fits All Adult and Kids Shoes

Nice Idea Overall; Just Don't Tighten Too Much
I really dislike shoes, especially having to tie them. Sometimes I wish I was a Hobbit. I've bought shoes with Velcro straps, but the Velcro seems to lose its grip over time. So when I heard of these elastic laces, I thought I'd found the solution. Negotiating the tie clips was a bit of a chore, and I opted for the end clips for aesthetic purposes. They tuck in pretty easily. Once installed, the shoes fit on snugly... a bit too snugly, in fact. I probably should have not cinched the laces in so much, or left the top pair of eyelets open, because sometimes it feels like I'm cutting the blood off in my feet. The most challenging part on my New Balance shoes is getting my feet in without pushing the tongue back in; I have to grasp the tongue firmly AND use a shoe horn behind my heel at the same time, which is tricky. I'm hoping the laces will loosen a bit over time with wear. If not, I'll just replace these with another set, and not install them so tightly, because I really like the idea of converting my New Balances (as well as my bicycle shoes) into slip ons.

Works nicely
The shoelaces installed relatively easily, like regular shoelaces. I made the mistake of installing them, then putting on my shoes. The laces were tight. Here's a tip: have the shies on you feet as you lace them up. It may be a bit awkward but you can adjust the tightness for comfort. I didn't care for the p art of heating the cut ends to seal them but it prevents fraying. If you heat them too much the end may melt I. Such a way as to prevent the end from being snapped into place.

Cut only when you’re sure!
I like the Xpand No Tie laces because, for more classic sneaker styles, they offer a look that is closer to standard white laces.I recently put a set a new set of classic lace up Vans. I liked the idea of being able to slip these on while still having the look of being laced. I did not use the enclosed clips, opting to instead to get the stretch level right where I wanted it and then double loop the laces in the topmost hole to ‘lock’ them in place. Then I finished them off with a standard shoe tie loop.My only downside with these is the caveat to make sure that you don’t cut off the excess length of the laces until you’re completely sure you have them where you want them. Once these are cut, getting the frayed ends through the lace holes is very difficult.

Great
Would recommend you leaving a little extra when you first put them in. Just in case you have to readjust them a day or two after you put them in.

Exactly as advertised
The no tie laces are basically elastic eith special tabs to keep them in place. I bought the white for my son's white high top canvas tennis shoes. He lobes them. Je was dancing and jumping around the house to test how well the shoe stays on with the elastic laces. He said they were great and the shoes stayed on his feet very well. He threw away the old laces.

Quality
Works great so far! Confusing on right length i should have bought. I think mine are too long? I've just been tieing like usual since they're too long.

Mostly work well
Kind of a pain to “install,” but manageable. They work great and are exactly what I wanted - except they’ve gotten pretty dirty, and what do I do about that? Definitely not convenient to try and remove them to wash, if that’s even an option.

Love These!
Why didn't I know about these sooner? I just got mine today and put them on my Adidas and they work and look great! Easy to install and I'll be buying more for my other shoes. Time will tell how durable they are, but for now, I'm pleased.

Was skeptical... now...
Ok so I was skeptical but man was I set straight. These things are awesome. Got a pair of black ones for my gym shoes and put them on a little tighter but have some room for adjusting. As a dad... quick shoes on and off make trips to the indoor playground, pool and karate easy.As a dad that is at the gym every other day, these things hold up to the treadmill, lateral moves, sled pushes, and yes... even basketball. Didn't think they would and I tried to push them past their limits. They hold up. Will post again in a couple months to see how long they last.

A must have for anyone who's autistic!
These are way better than Leazy shoelaces. These fit into any eyelet, there's plenty of it (But it would be great if Xpand made one's that are twice the length for taller boots/shoes), there's plenty of reflective thread, and they're much more comfortable and way less oversensitising. You have the option to use them as normal shoelaces or no-tie shoelaces. I have D-rings on one of my boots instead of eyelets and I just put the smaller stoppers on the ends of the shoelaces to prevent them from coming undone when I'm putting the boots on (They have zips on the sides), and then use them as normal shoelaces (but they have a lot of grip against itself so it doesn't really come undone if fairly tight which I also love about these shoelaces). For another pair of shoes it has eyelets at the bottom and are open zig-zag top so I just threaded the shoelaces through the eyelets and left the top open as I can't keep them in place as it's all open, and didn't put any stoppers on them because it's useless to.And for other pairs that only have eyelets I'm might attach stoppers and hide the rest of the shoelaces under the shoe because I'm afraid that if I cut them they're going to fray, but most likely I'm going to do the same thing as I did for the D-ring boots.

How did I 'knot' know about these before?!
(Pun intended in title)I've previously been a rubber lace man on Converse and Vans previously which have a straight-laced appearance but with a new pair of Van's I wanted a crisscross patterned lace without the faff of excess lace hanging out or uncomfortably tucking my laces in and poking my feet. These are super long and have a really good amount of tension. Imagine if you've ever used bungee cords before, they're like them but in lace length and thickness. They have a good amount of stretch without being useless, like a cheap elastic band. The only thing to note is it's a lot thinner than a normal lace, so if you have quite chunky shoes they may look a bit out of place. The clip is really strong. I've set mine up inside the shoe and I don't feel them at all. Just lace the shoe as needed, add your clasp to finish and trim the excess. One benefit to this is you don't need to be even with the lacing if your trimming as it'll look the same in the end.I'm 100% going to get more of these for my other shoes!

Not sure I'll ever go back to traditional laces
If you hate the hassle of tying and untying laces all the time, then this is a godsend.Only headache is that as you are not adjusting the tightness every time you put them on, you need to wear similar-thickness socks every time. Or at least not wear thick winter socks one day and barely-there summer socks the next.Since you probably have several pairs of shoes though, it's probably easier to just use one for the summer and another for mid winter.

Wide width, orthotics wearer here, and I approve this message!
I was very skeptical when I ordered these. I have wide width feet and I wear orthotics. I didn’t think they were going to work for me, but thought, they’re not expensive. If they work- great. If not- I’m not out that much money. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they worked perfectly. They keep my feet snug inside the shoe and they’re super easy to slide on and off. I love how reflective the ones I got were as well! They’ll be great for running in the dark. Thanks Xpand Laces! I might pick up another set!
