You would never know from looking at them now that they were red when they were purchased. The magnets work well enough so it was easy to install them onto the rear of my work vehicle, but the reflectivity (both before & after the loss of color) is average.If you only plan on using these exclusively at night, & will store them out of the sunlight during the day, then they will probably work just fine for you.
