I have tried other iron supplements that did nothing. Since I've never actually tested as anemic (but definitely exhibited symptoms of it), I figured it must be something else when the supplements didn't help decrease the symptoms. I happened upon this product after a year of eating ice compulsively every day and decided to give it a shot. The effect wasn't instant, but within the first month my compulsion to eat ice decreased dramatically and before I finished the first bottle the urge was completely eliminated. I've since learned that iron levels can fluctuate and appear fine during one test or low in another, especially as hormones fluctuate throughout the month.
