I am very happy with this product and the accuracy of it. I compared it to one my husband already has. My husband is in water treatment and we know the importance of having our water tested on a regular basis. We own a Reverse Osmosis drinking water system, and I like to check and see how clean our drinking water is. It also lets us know when it's time to change out the filters.A TDS Meter is for the total dissolved solids in the water. TDS is directly related to the purity of water and the quality of water purification systems. So, we are pretty aware of what kind of contaminants are in our water. We don't just drink any kind of water, we prefer to test it first to determine the purity of it.This is really easy to use, it has an on and off switch, and easy to read. I received the purple color, which is easy to locate when I have it in my kitchen drawer. It fits nicely even in your pocket if you do have to carry it around. It has a nice cover or case for it, which gives it very good protection.I am very pleased with this product, I did compare it to one my husband already has, and the readings from both of of our meters came out the same. So, I know it is very accurate, and I know it will serve our needs very well.I did receive this at a discount for an honest and unbiased review. But, this is totally my opinion of this product, and I hope my review will help determine whether you will make this purchase. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Ecellent accuracy in my home tests *by S***I on Reviewed in the United States on August 12, 2016* I purchased this unit to test our water since we have a well and also use a Zero Water Filtration System. The Zero water has a tester that just gives a green light if all is good which simply is not much information. I used this Digital Aid Test Meter three days in a row and I let the water get to 76 degrees. Each time, I tested the well water first, then the filtered water, and left the tester in the water four minutes each. For the well water direct, my readings were 17,18, and 17. The filtered water was 4, 4 and 5. The differences are very minor and may be attributed to the temperature of the room during the tests. We also had the county test our well with simular results. Being the test did not vary enough to be significant, I feel this meter is very accurate and have much confidence in it. The meter comes in a heavy duty pouch to protect it which should help give it a long life. Its simple to use with just a power button, one for settings, and one to hold the results. I went on the Internet to the manufacturers new web site and printed information to check test results. Overall, very easy to use and seemingly very accurate. Its very solid and well made. The meter is very easy to use and the instructions are clearly written in such a manner that you do not have to be technical to get it. I used this right way to test the water from my tap versus that from my filtered refrigerator. There was only about a 10 ppm difference and this was after installing a new filter. Using this meter enabled me to see for myself that my TDS level from well water is much lower than what the EPA considers unsafe. I have a well and was about to buy a reverse osmosis (RO) system. With the results I attained using this meter, I am no longer considering purchasing a RO system....caveat....unless my water that I am testing for coliform and nitrates (EPA recommended tests for well water systems) are positive. I should have those results in 7 days.Recommend users of this meter pay attention to the instructional part that suggest rinsing with distilled water after each use; especially if you are comparing two samples of water. Or, as a minimum if sampling two different sample of water, space the sampling out. Test one at night, and the other the next morning.
