I would recommend this for whatever you need to store that is relatively flat.

**Q: Is this the right size to fit letter size hanging files horizontally?**
A: No, I tried it with some hanging file folders and the folders are smaller/shelf is larger. They fit all the way inside and do not hang.

**Q: Can you get extra shelfs?**
A: I wouldn't think so but I don't reprent the company.

**Q: Will 9 inch × 12 inch drawing paper fit in these shelves?**
A: Yes.  I just measured the interior space and it's 9 1/2" deep by 12 1/2" wide.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very difficult to build

I just finished building my two organizers. While I like the wood, and it looks very good, there are some design flaws that made if difficult to build, and I'm worried about the shelves' staying in their grooves. Build: When I tried to screw the parts together, I almost stripped the heads of the first screw because the holes are both too short and too narrow. I drilled the holes bigger and longer, and the screws went in easily but firmly (I know how to measure screw holes). The shelves: When I installed the shelves, they were all just a bit on the narrow side. I had to make sure they stayed centered or they would fall out on one side. The shelves actually need to be about 3/32nds wider to stay in their grooves properly. I'm going to try some shims with toothpicks and see if that keeps them from falling out. But all-in-all, I am happy with my purchase. It will suit my purpose.
