Designed for busy homeowners and property managers, it requires no app or hub, offers a durable nickel-plated sensor with a 5 ft wire, and includes a 6 ft power cord for continuous operation. With centralized monitoring that notifies you if the device goes offline, and customizable alert settings for multiple contacts, it’s the smart, reliable solution to prevent water damage before it escalates. ## Description MySpool Water Detector tells you about a leak while it is still a towel problem and not a floor problem. Put the sensor pad where water shows up first: under a sink, behind the water heater, beside the washing machine, at the sump. The moment the pad gets wet the device sends a text message and an email, and it keeps repeating every few minutes until you wipe the pad dry. A leak that starts at two in the morning does not wait for you to find it at breakfast. NO APP AND NO HUB Water Detector runs on the WiFi you already have. Setup takes a few minutes from a phone or a laptop, then you add your email address and phone number on your device page at myspool.com. Nothing to download, no bridge to buy, and no subscription. It has been tested at over 400 feet from a router and through walls. FREE CENTRAL MONITORING INCLUDED The device checks in with our cloud servers once a day. If it misses a check-in you get an email telling you there is a problem, and a second one when it comes back online. That is the difference between a working water detector and water sensors for home that quietly died months ago and nobody noticed. WHERE PEOPLE PUT IT Under a bathroom or kitchen sink / Water heater and drip pan / Washing machine and laundry room / Dishwasher and refrigerator line / Sump pit and basement floor / Crawlspace and utility room / Behind a toilet or water softener / Aquarium stand and boiler room WHAT IS IN THE BOX MySpool Water Detector unit / Nickel plated droplet water sensor on a 5 ft wire / USB wall adapter / 6 ft flat power cord GOOD TO KNOW Requires a home WiFi network and a free account on myspool.com. There is no app to install and no hub. This is a contact sensor pad. It reports water touching the pad, rather than acting as a flow meter, a level gauge, or an automatic shutoff valve. Alerts arrive as a text message and an email, with optional push notifications. There is no built in siren. Powered from a wall outlet using the included 6 ft cord, so there is no battery to change and no battery to die unnoticed. MySpool products are supported in the United States and Canada only. ## Features - INSTANT TEXT AND EMAIL ALERTS, NO MONTHLY FEE - The moment the pad gets wet, this wifi water sensor sends a text message and an email. One phone number and up to five email addresses per device, and the alert repeats every few minutes until the sensor is dry. - NO APP TO INSTALL, NO HUB TO BUY - Most water leak sensors for home need a proprietary bridge sitting on your router. This one joins the WiFi you already have in a few minutes from a phone or laptop, and has been tested past 400 feet from the router and through walls. - PLUGS IN, SO THE BATTERY NEVER DIES - A 6 ft power cord and a 5 ft sensor lead reach from the outlet down to the floor, which makes it a practical water heater leak detector, under sink alarm, or washer and sump backup with nothing to replace once a year. - HARDENED NICKEL PLATED PAD, USE IT AGAIN - Plenty of water sensors for leak detection corrode after a single flood. The pad on this one is nickel plated for corrosion resistance, so you wipe it dry, set it back down, and it is ready for the next leak. - FREE CENTRAL MONITORING TELLS YOU IT IS ALIVE - Your water detector checks in with our cloud servers every day. Miss a check-in and you get an email that it is offline, plus another when it returns. Device status and recent alerts live on a secure web page. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B07BS9Z255 | | Best Sellers Rank | 127,301 in DIY & Tools ( See Top 100 in DIY & Tools ) 30 in Water Detectors | | Brand | MySpool | | Colour | Black | | Compatible Devices | Smartphone | | Control Method | Touch | | Customer Reviews | 4.3 4.3 out of 5 stars (485) | | Included Components | Water Detector, water sensor, 6 ft power cable, A/C adapter | | Item Dimensions L x W x H | 5.1L x 5.1W x 10.2H centimetres | | Item Highlight | Plug In the WiFi Water Sensor Under a Sink, Behind the Water Heater or Beside the Washer, No Hub, App or Subscription Needed | | Manufacturer | MySpool | | Model Name | Water Detector | | Model Number | WATER_001 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Part Number | WATER_001 | | Power source | Corded Electric | | Sensor Technology | Moisture Sensor | | UPC | 720260522356 | | Unit Count | 1.0 count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** MySpool - **Colour:** Black - **Compatible devices:** Smartphone - **Power source:** Corded Electric - **Product dimensions:** 5.1L x 5.1W x 10.2H centimetres ## Images ![WiFi Water Leak Detector for Home with Text & Email Notifications - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61zxpgU65CL.jpg) ![WiFi Water Leak Detector for Home with Text & Email Notifications - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41Abl5+-EPL.jpg) ![WiFi Water Leak Detector for Home with Text & Email Notifications - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41mHyfy0qCL.jpg) ![WiFi Water Leak Detector for Home with Text & Email Notifications - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41BmaX1fvlL.jpg) ![WiFi Water Leak Detector for Home with Text & Email Notifications - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/31TFX7mcw9L.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Style** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: As the lead from the sensor to the box is only 2 feet, can you mount the box to a stud or wall?** A: Yes you cam: use either duct or double sided tape. You may also want to look at the rugged version: it comes with a 5 foot lead which is rigidly connected to the sensor. It also comes in an enclosure which has screw mount holes. **Q: Installed the device, configured both text and email alerts. now i receive a text alert every 6:30 mins. but no email alerts at all. why is it so?** A: Look for an email with a subject "AWS Notification - Subscription Confirmation". You need to click on the link in that email to confirm your subscription to email notifications. If you cannot find it, go to Configure Device, remove and then add your email again. All email changes require subscription confirmations. **Q: Will this work on a 220v socket, or 110v only ??** A: It works on 110. **Q: What water level does it detect at?** A: I have recently purchased this item and spent a few days testing it. In my test I placed the sensor on a plate dinner plate which contained water and it triggered a response immediately. Based on this I would say this sensor appears to be triggered upon contact with even very low levels of water. ## Frequently Bought Together - MySpool Water Detector with Text Message and Email Notifications - Risinglink Smart Water Level Monitor, WiFi-Enabled, Text/Email Alerts, Indoor/Outdoor Detector, Battery Powered, Stainless Steel Float Sensor - PumpSpy Silent Check Valve - 1-1/2" with Buna-N Couplings, Model CV-150, Spring-Loaded Flapper, Sump Pump Life Expectancy Increase, Includes Steel Clamps Fit 1-1/2″ Pipe --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.gr/products/412118223-wifi-water-leak-detector-for-home-with-text-and-email](https://www.desertcart.gr/products/412118223-wifi-water-leak-detector-for-home-with-text-and-email) --- *Product available on Desertcart Greece* *Store origin: GR* *Last updated: 2026-10-14*
