Review: The perfect spatula. Hand wash for long life. - This is our second of this exact type of OXO “fish flipper” spatula. We still have the prior one, but the handle material has degraded over time after frequent runs through the dishwasher. We sometimes use a high-heat “sanitary mode,” so perhaps others have not had this issue, but the handle on ours has become “tacky” over time — a sign the plastic is degrading. But it’s become such an indispensable tool in our kitchen that we had to get another one, which will be hand-washed going forward. These aren’t just for fish, although I used it on the sockeye salmon last night and it was of course perfect. But this kind of thin, flexible spatula works well with anything you’re cooking in a pan that needs flipping, turning, or manipulating, whether you’re browning ground beef for chili or turning steaks. I don’t really see the point of the short, fat style for most of what we cook — this fish flipper style slides under food easily and is wide enough and “springy” enough to lift a T-bone or an omelet. Five stars for the perfect spatula. Get one and you’ll never want to be without

**Q: What are the dimensions?**
A: The OXO Restaurant Turner is 12 1/4 inches long.  The flat base of the turner is 5' 1/8 x 2 7/8.  The silicone handle is 5 inches.

**Q: Will do this flip eggs???**
A: It will, but not my favorite. For eggs, I use a longer soft silicone spatula. I use the OXO grip for my grill or griddle. Steaks, burgers, etc...

**Q: What Grade is the stainless steel used in the manufacture of this utensil?**
A: its high quality!

**Q: Does this work for turning a thin crepe on a griddle without ripping the crepe?**
A: Yes it would work great for that
