One thing to note is that there does seem to be a "directionality" to the piece that slides on - in my experience it works best if the "lock" icons on the sliding piece are facing inward instead of outward (that may be confusing if you haven't purchased yet but it will make perfect sense once you have one in your hands). Overall, 10 out of 10!

We love these to help keep our baby safe! Super easy to use - both putting on and taking off. Quick and easy, which is handy when it comes to needing in a cabinet quickly, but not so easy that a baby can figure it out! It gives us huge relief knowing that our 1-year-old cannot get into the cabinets and get at things that could hurt him (or be broken). I was also surprised at how nicely the black color blends in with our dark brown cabinets with brass/gold colored handles. These seem sturdy enough since our son has already tried to open and pull, yet they stay in place.
