Now reading the comments this post should correct all comments. This post is on May 1, 2015 and should address all comments. Thank you for supporting this great product anyone at any time can call and we are here to help. "NOTE" ----DO NOT USE THE KWIK KLIP TO INSTALL SAFETY PINS INTO THE COVERS. SMALL NEEDLE NOSE PLIERS!!!!!!!!! By SMALL i mean the pliers should be about 4 inches in total length, the tip is about 1 inch, use just the end of the plier to snap in the wire. They will snap in so easy.. I can tell by come comments, people are not using small needle nose pliers.Hi, the header card for the package now indicates ONLY #1 steel pins, either curved or straight. The curved are very easy to insert. Please use the small hobby type needle nose pliers. The tolerances for the covers are very precise. The covers are constantly checked tolerance as each color is molded. Paula Jean Creations cannot control how safety pins are manufactured and most are made offshore, NOT USA made. To compensate the cover is designed to allow the user to easily crimp over the two slots the pins snap into. Put the small needle nose pliers in at an angle and gentle crimp. The directions include very clear pictures. This crimping "locks" in smaller wire pins. It takes me 45 minutes to install 200 pins with pins and crimped. It is very easy if the right pins and right tool is used. Even my daughter can put them together. These work well with my arthritic hands that can’t manage this size pin without the plastic adapter **Q: Why does the description say they fit #2 pins, but the packaging says only #1 size?** A: Where in the description did you read #2 pins? They fit #1 pins as specified on the actual package. If you read #2 it was probably in one of the reviews and not in the actual product description. They fit on #1 size pins and the best fit are steel pins and not the cheap dollar store kind. **Q: I use Coiless pins. Will the wotk on these?** A: These are covers for quilting safety pins that have a coil.
