Even in a larger pouch/pocket/bag, this TagVault prevents the AirTag from sliding around and potentially being lost; an AirTag's only the size of a quarter, and about as thick as three of them. LIke the Elago AirTag holders, this makes the very small AirTag less likely to slip into cracks or fall out. Also: if it drops on a hard surface, this may cushion the impact a bit (not guaranteed if it "falls butter side down"). Another benefit: in a slim cardholder wallet, the soft silicone "grips" to the adjacent credit card where a hard plastic insert would slide off, and potentially right out of the cardholder pocket. It doesn't make your wallet "thinner", and yes, it adds a bit of material, but the way it's designed eliminates the "bump" in my wallet and makes it more comfortable. Further, now the air tag doesn't move around or fall out like before I got TagVault.
