They both look the same to me. I have the one's shown. So I would go with the lower priced one. Unless it reads something different in the description. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful. Again with what they're showing it appears to be the same. Either way I like the handy little tool. **Q: Is this really made in USA?** A: Don’t know. Returned it cause it’s really tough to use. It’s a freehand device and just too clumsy. Instead I bought a general tools&instruments Pro dowling jig and it’s great for five dollars more. It’s clamps well and much easier to use. It’s in New Jersey but can’t tell where it was made. **Q: If there is no difference between the old and new version, how do you justify the massive difference in price?** A: Yeah, usually you'd think there'd be some significant difference.
