**Q: Does this hold a regular box of kleenex brand tissues?**
A: No, the box will not fit, but the tissues fit fine. I have absolutely no problem taking the tissues out of their box and simply placing them in the wooden box. Works just like the tissue box, in that you must pull up the first tissue to get it going.

**Q: Is this box light or dark wood? The description reads yellow. The picture is dark.**
A: It's a dark stain. Not mahogany, more like oak. The interior has a yellowish (light wood) color, but the outside is brown.

**Q: is the lid hinged or does it come off fully?**
A: It’s more like fixed dowels on the back side corners. I removed my lid because Kleenex box too tall for lid to close properly and that is with use of Kleenex box 3 1/2 inch tall. I still like it though even without lid

For its purpose it's good. It arrived broken though. I decided to just glue it back together instead of returning but it's kind of overpriced for what you get overall.
