Suggestion: test on dry cardboard, progressively increase the moisture content, take several readings. This should give you an idea how damp your wall is. **Q: Any good for caravans ?** A: actually, this is moisture meter for wood and paper or even the building. **Q: Do you have to stick the pins into the material?** A: Yes, the pin should be into the material. But you could try the MT28 pinless wood moisture meter **Q: Can it measure moisture, from a painted brick wall?
