That means it can be used for 978 UAT ADS-B in the US, VHF, VHF ACARS, and a lot more. For standard 1090Mhz ADS-B, we recommend the blue stick that includes an on-board filter for optimal performance. I bought a filter and that fixed all my issues. I started receiving much farther than I expected with an external Antenna. Setup is easier than expected as well at least with software I am using. As pictured it connects to USB. It does generate heat but nothing that I would think you need to worry about. Review: Meets my expectations - Seems very well made.
