Great design. Solid latch. *by M***X on February 14, 2019* The stock plastic latch on my Hero 3 waterproof case cracked a few months ago. I didn't want to buy a new case, but was about to finally give up and buy one, and then I found this item. It installed in seconds, it's WAY better quality than the OEM latch, and it's definitely a 5-star item.PROS:Easy to install: Just slip out the two thin metal clasps from the existing housing, and reverse the process with the new latch. It takes seconds, not minutes.Easier to use: The metal latch seems easier to flip open than the plastic latch was.Improved durability: As evidenced by it breaking, my broken plastic latch wasn't durable. This metal latch is a huge improvement.Appearance: I think the metal latch looks cooler than the regular flat-black latch.Design: I saw other latches that would have required me to unscrew the clasp. I was concerned that it wouldn't be as good of a fix as this was. While I can't speak for the other latch, I CAN say that this latch was easy to install, and it alleviated my concerns.CONS:None. Except that GoPro should make this the OEM latch. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Quit wasting your time & equipment GET THIS. *by S***R on September 6, 2021* Very well made and aluminum, the stock plastic lock broke so I replaced it with this. Looks well made and will more than likely outlast the case and possibly out last the camera. If you want no problems with your GoPro set up get these and the aluminum and stainless screws too you will be glad you did. GoPro take note: quit charging a premium for your cheap stuff and build it right the first time. Get this it's well worth your money for no more lost time and equipment. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Does not work with a GoPro 3 standard case. *by B***. on August 10, 2020* The product itself looks just fine however it does not actually clip on my gopro3 standard case. I read the reviews and one or two of them said it would. It grabs and pulls the case shut but the only issue is that there is no way for it to click and close.
