Let's try some basic trouble shooting. 1) Remove the door opener switch off the wall, place a short piece bare wire across the wired contacts or place a screw driver blade across the contacts on the back of the door opener switch - if the door moves up or down - the door opener switch is bad (note: this a low voltage/low current circuit - you will not get shocked or ware a pair of light weight gloves) 2) If the door does not move when a wire or screwdriver blade is placed across door opener contacts - you may have an open wire going to those contacts of have a loose connection at the door opener switch or at the motor. One other possibility is you may have a bad control board at the motor. If that is the case, you should call a technician to repair the problem. **Q: will this work on a chamberlain D2101?** A: I am not sure my original one went out during a storm I just replaced it. **Q: Installed/amber light blinking/have pushed all buttons many times/reversed wiring. Still not working. Old one works, but ugly.Ideas?** A: Mine did the same thing. Mine was a problem with the door sensors. After I re wired the sensors, I wired it back in and it worked for me. These worked perfectly on my liftmasters and were very easy to install. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great replacement controller for my LiftMaster. *by S***N on August 16, 2025* My controller to my LiftMaster started blinking yellow after a power outage due to a storm. I could not get it to "talk" to the motor/main unit again. Remotes worked and the outside keypad worked. Went on Amazon and ordered a new one. I was worried the 882LM was different over the 882LMW. Turns out the W is for WiFi. If you want to use the app this will work fine. I ordered 2 figuring the other one is just as old. I replaced them both with the new ones. Turns out the one controlling the other door is a 882LMW. I think when we had the doors installed the installer was lazy and left the old wall controller attached. I am guessing this because the installer also added my door to the other outside keypad and did not give me the new one for my door. Of course we were charged for it. I made them come back out and install it. They also kept the 2nd remote for the door. Next time I will be home and watch them. Everything is working now.
