A: The tag inside says, Made in China. It is a superb item though.

**Q: What's the difference in Black and Black (Buff)?**
A: Black has a V shaped flap;  black buff has a straight flap.

**Q: Is this soft leather?**
A: Mine is not soft leather. It has a firmer finish.

**Q: can this be carried in your pants pocket?**
A: I'm going to say, maybe not. At the moment with card slots full and some cash in it, the dimensions are 4" X 1-1/2". It obviously depends on the pocket size of your pants. It is also rather long, so it would also stick out of most pockets. It all depends on what your comfort level.
