Mr. Wynn has a scholarly approach that exhibits much experience, deep knowledge, and a precise writing style that is accurate and thorough. Highly recommended if you want a deep comprehension of how handplanes work and can be optimized by the user. ### ⭐ Virtually unreadable *by A***N on Reviewed in the United States on December 15, 2019* I have tried on multiple occasions to read this book. It is unreadable.The first chapter doesn't even talk about planes. It talks about microscopic surfaced and spends a great deal of time on the authors technique for SANDING. Enjoyable reading with lots and lots of useful illustrations. So far I have been involved in wood carving, I have also started doing carpentry work in the last two years, the book was very useful because I gained a lot of new knowledge which made my work easier and faster.I recommend it to anyone who wants to work with hand planes.
