**Q: Is Dr. Berg’s newer electrolytes (lemon) dramatically less sweet than his others (orange, etc)? I’m in ketosis, plus don’t like sweets.**
A: Just got this stuff and tried it.  It is sickeningly sweet. Why?  Why on earth does Dr. Berg  make products that taste like candy when he preaches NO SUGAR in the diet?  Anyone who has eliminated sugar is going to be far more sensitive to anything sweet.  Just make it unsweetened and let us add our own sweetener (or not) to our OWN taste.  So disappointing.

**Q: Why are Dr. Berg's shipping costs so outrageous?  $9.40 to ship this powder?  it does not cost that much to ship a small container!**
A: Shipping is expensive.  A small flat rate box USPS is $8.50 and the container would not fit in that box.  $9.50 is reasonable.

**Q: Suitable for vegetarian**
A: Yes, it is suitable for vegetarians.

**Q: Is the citric acid non gmo fruit based or is it black mold based?**
A: Modern practices of making citric acid is using aspergillus niger (a mold)…look it up!  Long gone are the days when manufacturers actually use citrus.  Unless it actually says “derived from citrus” you should assume that it’s made from mold.

THE GOOD: I'm on day 5 of a 7 day fast, drinking nothing but water and this electrolyte powder, and I feel GREAT! I have not experienced any headaches, dizziness, cramps, or other side effects that can sometimes come with prolonged fasting. I have done several 3 day fasts in the past using only Himalayan salt as a mineral supplement, but still suffered from most if not all of the aforementioned side effects (not severe, and effects were short lived, but still annoying). In fact, this was going to be a 3 day fast but I have felt so good I decided to extend it!THE BAD: This stuff tastes absolutely awful! The smell and taste reminds me of an insecticide or herbicide, and if you shake up really hard and don't allow the foam to subside before you slam it down, that bad taste is the gift that keeps on giving.So why 5 stars? Because this stuff WORKS! It gives your body what it needs. As part of my daily regiment I also drink apple cider vinegar and lemon juice, which also tastes awful, but it's good for you. Taste is overrated. Mix it really well with cold water, let the foam go down, swish it around again to make sure it's mixed, drink it down as fast as you can, and get on with your day!

The flavor takes a bit to get use to. It dissolves well. As I drink it in my water bottle, I dilute it with more water and drink throughout the day. I got in to enhance fasting after watching Dr. Berg’s videos on fasting. After 12 days of fasting, my bloodwork was great, particularly my electrolytes. That showed I was still in good shape while fasting and taking these electrolytes.

I have to start that I rarely give a review. But, had such a distaste for this product and my husband had digestive issues (when he is very regular), that we threw it away. It was not eligible for a return. I had used other electrolyte powders before and my husband thought I should try this brand, as it was a little more cost friendly. I ordered the pomegranate and cherry. It had an awful smell and the taste was just okay. I was willing to use it so as not to waste the product, and I'm not THAT picky of an eater. But, after my husband had three days of having not the normal BMs, we just thought we would stop the supplement and see if we could get a return. It was not eligible and he went back to normal and we decided to just throw the product away. We happily went back to our normal electrolyte powder, and worth it for a few extra dollars in my opinion.
