These types of products take more effort and patience to apply, but they are worth it. This product is recommended highly for knives, while SMOOTH-KOTE is recommended for internal firearms parts. However, TUF-Glide can also be used for quick cleaning and light cleaning of firearms, and in fact the US Army uses the TUF-Cloth in the field for on-the-fly rifle and handgun cleaning, particularly in the desert, dusty environments of Iraq and Afghanistan. I squeezed the bottle a little too hard and the stuff came flying out like a laser beam when the clog broke free, which stained my hands, cleaning mat and old t-shirt. The first one I got leaked 1/3 into its packaging. But I could still use the remaining 2/3 (it still slowly leaks out its back though). The second one arrived in perfect condition and still remains in its dry packaging. As a CDLP, it does the job to clean and lubricate my Spyderco and Benchmade folding knives.
