Each torch is made of hard plastic, very colourful plastic at that, with 9 LED bulbs. The torch fits nicely in the palm of the hand and is very light even with 3 x AAA batteries. It has a surprisingly good beam for its size clearly lighting the path directly ahead. It also comes with a box of 18 batteries so no extra cost, although I have not given the battery life a good test as yet so can only state “they work”.
