Good for projects outside of watch work. *by on Reviewed in the United States August 30, 2026* This kit has EVERYTHING. To be honest and up front - I did not get this to repair watches. I got this set from a recomendation for my hobby. While I use about 90 percent of this kit - 10 percent of it I do not as it does not pertain to why I purchased it. This kit was recommended to me for 3D printing, modeling and mold making. It contains a large amount of tools and equipment that is helpful when dealing with smaller items. I love the look of this kit and appreciate that everything fits so neatly into the included case. Not only does this work for my hobby, but I found I use it for various projects around the house. You can't beat this little tool kit for the price - the quality was much better than I originally anticipated. Highly recommend. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect for replacing batteries or adjusting band length on inexpensive watches. *by on Reviewed in the United States October 1, 2020* I am giving this 5 stars largely based on cost. I have 5 inexpensive watches that needed batteries and this did the trick for all of them. Additionally the kit would be great for taking out links to adjust band size. The quality of the tools are fine for my purposes but not necessarily what a professional would use. I was able to remove all backs without a scratch but could see how it could happen so if its an expensive watch you may not want to take the chance. I did watch a YouTube video first to get an idea of how to do it.First determine what type of watch back you have. The screw off back should have little grooves or indentations along the outer edge of the back. If it's smooth it's likely a pop off back.For my screw off watch back I found it necessary to remove a pin from the bracelet type watch strap to allow the straps to lay to each side and not be in the way. I then used the silver "wrench" which has different bits for different grooves so it took a little trial and error to find the correct shape. There are 3 bits needed for the tool and 5 different shapes so be sure you are using the same 3 bit shapes in the wrench. Next screw the watch to the provided anchor block, just holding it in my hand didn't work for me. Now line up the "wrench" and thighten the bits in place although they will still have a slight wiggle so while applying a little pressure turn the back counter clockwise all while holding the anchor block in place with the hand.For the pop off backs I found that using the little knife where the strap connects allows you to twist against it and pop off the back easily. If you only have the pop off type backs and are just replacing the battery you could likely use a knife like tool at home rather than purchasing this kit.Hope this helps. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works well for me *by on Reviewed in the United States January 22, 2023* Although some, actually most, of the pin pushers that work in the tool designed for them, I think they do the job for the most part. The rest of the kit has proven to be most useful for what I am doing, which is replacing batteries in all my wife's watches. All the backs are press-in type and are relatively difficult to remove because of the small size of the watches. I finally got a loop so I could see the edges far better and the process became much easier. The very sharp pointed tweezers are excellent for grasping the small cotter pins used in the watch inks on the small watches, too, and they are great for clearing some of the accumulated buildup around the watch bezel on the back of the watch, so the grasping notches are more noticeable. Although the little hammer found in the kit is nice, it does not have the "heft" for driving the cotter pins into the watch band holes hard enough to make them expand and hold the links in place. The plastic blocks used for aligning the band links for the insertion of the cotter pins is not very good for the small watch bands on women's watches, although they work well for the larger men's watches.
