## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does this have a notification light?**
A: I bought one because you answered that it does, but it doesn't. Very disappointed that seller not honest.

**Q: To seller can you get an upgraded battery?**
A: Hi, you can replace battery, ie it’s easy change, take back panel off and clip it back on after . But not sure about “upgrading”

**Q: Does this phone take the O2 classic sim card**
A: I had a problem with this phone and have returned it. All I can tell you is that it only accepts Nano-sized SIM Cards.

**Q: Can Roblox be downloaded and played being kicked off**
A: It won't download on my daughter's phone, but I am unsure if this is anything to do with the security settings I put on the phone or if it is with the programme or phone. Other programmes download and play with no problem it's just roblox we have a problem with.

## Customer Reviews

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great phone and does what other brands do for a friendly price.
*by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 7 October 2023*

I love an Alcatel, I've had various phones from them over the last 20 years. This one we bought so my husband can video call his children.Easy to operate (they are 10, 11, and 12) and have no problems navigating it themsleves.Easy to set up; we chose a PIN to open.Might not be an all singing all dancing high end phone; but if your looking for a good quality basic with a decent battery life - this is well worth a purchase.

### ⭐ Slow, low capacity, and battery drains fast
*by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 17 June 2022*

I bought this because the old mobile I use for travelling died, and I had another trip almost immediately. This came up in a comparison of phones for the best phone under £100.It's flimsy and light, and when using the charger provided, it gets very, very hot, very, very quickly. It is annoying to use - it's ludicrously easy to hit the button at the bottom of the screen that returns you to the main landing screen, making anything you are trying to do incredibly tiresome. It's also ridiculously slow - pages take so long to load that it's a flashback to 90s Internet dial up days. Worst of all, it has very limited capacity - I needed to scan and upload my passport for a hotel check in, and it simply couldn't cope: repeated insufficient memory warnings. Websites frequently crash for the same reason. The battery drains very fast - it is unusable as a smart phone, so I've been using it as a hot spot so I can use the WiFi on my normal phone whilst travelling. The battery drains entirely within about four hours. If I charge before bed, and don't use anything at all (and switch off) then it's down to about 60% by morning.Just to set this into context - the phone it replaced was an 8 year old Sony Xperia (issue with the charging port was an uneconomic repair). This brand new phone performs significantly more poorly in absolutely every respect. In short, save your money: I wish I had!

### ⭐⭐⭐ Reasonable Basic Android Phone
*by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 3 January 2026*

Although these are slow phones compared to most units on the Android market, which gets more and more expensive, they have taken the low-cost slot, and will still do quite a lot for around £50 - file exploring, EPUB or PDF reading, text notes, audio and video playback, all fine, as well as the basic phone functionality. The one glitch tends to be the ability to retain one open app like a text or decrypted pass page at the same time as an open webpage, which can be particularly annoying when having to enter passes. Still a reasonable low-cost basic phone and compromise, particularly in a market of £500-1000 phones.
