If you are painting less than 40", you are good. It is very small but it holds enough paint for those purposes. It applies paint quickly, efficiently, and evenly to edges. I don't understand how anyone could get mad at this. I used this for a passport wallet and it worked brilliantly. Just fill the reservoir, paint the edge, set the piece aside to dry, and in the meantime, pour the remaining paint back into to original bottle, and rinse the unit under the sink for a few seconds. It literally takes 40 seconds at most to both setup and clean this unit between coats. It is so much faster than using a brush or an awl, and more precise than a pen roller. There are larger units that do exactly the same thing for larger projects which cost a bit more, and then there are commercial units that cost over $1500 if you are doing bulk. It's $8 and it does exactly what it's supposed to. This product however..it applies the perfect amount of edge paint each time and was incredibly smooth when rolling the leather across it.
