The engine and cars have great detail, and the cars light up. The train sets up very quickly and is easy to use. The lights, sounds, and smoke are really great and making running the train a lot of fun. I tried the Bluetooth app on my phone and it works well, but the remote works the same so you don’t need the Bluetooth if you don’t want to use it. The only downside is if you have the remote off but the track plugged in it makes a beeping noise to indicate it is trying to connect the Bluetooth. I haven’t checked the instructions to see if this can be turned off as it is a bit of annoying sound. The track in the set is a good size (curves to make a 3’ circle and 4 straight pieces), but I got it with 4 extra straight pieces to make sure it could go around the Christmas tree easily. I ran my right out of the box and it derailed. Any Advice?** A: On tube track (traditional or o27) you can not use the 027 curves has to be 031 and up if you use it on the 027 curve it has to have the front wheels removed **Q: Will this run with a standard track?** A: By "standard track" I assume you mean O-27. This is O-36 so the wheel flange is a bit taller. The old track's cross ties will get in the way.
