There are good reasons to use this type of pan over steel. For one, you must season steel pans which takes a lot of time and if not used regularly (several times a week) the seasoning can flake off. Steel pans also rust. LPK pans do not need any seasoning, they never rust, are metal utensil safe and are very efficient at conducting heat. Many pizza restaurants use our pans, including brands you certainly know. **Q: Does this pan work well for baking other things such as casseroles and baked pasta dishes?** A: I don't see why it couldn't work. Just be careful not to use utensils that could scratch the finish.
