It wasn't totally horizontal, but worked like a charm and exceeded my expectations. That said, the sander is super noisy, so doing this for an extended period of time drew some piercing looks from my neighbors. **Q: How noisy is the unit, and how well does the dust bag work?** A: It's not too noisy. I'd say it's medium-low on the noise scale. And if you're using the sander for a large project, it'll have to be constantly emptied. The bag is on the smaller side. **Q: Im looking to try a new hobby. Would this sander work to refinish a wooden table?** A: Depends on how big the table is. This sander is designed to remove a lot of wood. If the table has a wood veneer, you will want to use a less powerful sander. **Q: What size is the sand belt** A: Actually, there are three sizes which can be chosen before you add it to your cart, at least when ordering from Amazon (I'm using the app so I don't know where it is on the web page, but in the Amazon app, there is a popup menu right below the product photo, where you choose your size). The sizes are: ½x18" 3x18" 3x21" ## Frequently Bought Together - WEN 6321 7-Amp 3 in. x 21 in.
