## Questions & Answers

**Q: What is the diameter?**
A: Outer diameter is 5".

**Q: Will this work for a trombone?**
A: I don't believe that it will fit a tenor or bass trombone. This mute is designed primarily for trumpets and measures 4 7/8" in diameter.  Measure the diameter of your trombone bell and that should give you a better idea.  Soprano trombone bells are comparable to trumpet bells.  Hope that was helpful.

**Q: Is its diameter 5 inches?**
A: Yes it is

**Q: Is it have the stamp on the mute as in the picture?  Mine did not.**
A: My mute does have an oval "Mutec" stamp on the side and also reads "Chicago Style Trumpet Plunger,"  I hope this helps.
