**Q: does it work for both plastic and metal rivets?**
A: Dear Emilia, our Prym 390901 Vario pliers only works for metal rivets, because it need pressure, plastic ones can not working. Thank you for your attention. from Jerry, PuRuiMu DIY & Creative Tools

**Q: Can I use any size rivets and brand?**
A: I had a pack of dritz jeans rivets and a pack of dritz eyelets you get from the craft shop. It worked fine on those. I also tried them on a pack of prym jeans rivets and it worked fine on those as well. I don't remember the sizes.

**Q: Will this device install Prym 6/4b snaps onto clothing?**
A: I haven’t been able to use these successfully for anything. The included instructions are not very helpful.

**Q: Can these be used to install open ring metal snap buttons like the ones on baby clothing?**
A: I don't think so but I'm not sure.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good for crafters

I got these so that I could put on separately purchased boning tips for corsets. changed the game for me

### ⭐⭐⭐ Needs additional dies that are not easy to get

I bought these for rivets but unfortunately it doesn't come with the appropriate die attachment for that. I would have to buy a prym anorak snap kit and combine one of those setter pieces with the setter piece included with these pliers. Unfortunately Prym products are hard to get in the US and I would have to buy each set individually to use these pliers to full potential. They do not sell just the dies anywhere either. As is it punches holes ok and applies plastic snaps. The small silicone sleeve that goes onto the die for snaps stretches out and falls off after a while but I toss it in a cup of hot water and it shrinks back to size. These are inexpensive and I use them often but had I known that it didnt come with the dies I needed I would have purchased the big set that comes with everything.
