My chest was sensitive, bruised and had stitches.I normally wear size 12/14 with a bra size between 38DDD - 40DD. Amazon website suggested I wear a 1X but when I was looking thru the different pics of the bras, it gave a size guide, that according to my current bra size, I should get a 3X. I'm glad I got the 3X- it's just what needed during this time.The padded bra is soft and not suffocating. It's easy to get on and zip up. You may need to gently lift and reposition each of your boobs once the bra is completely on and closed but that's totally okay. The three pack is super helpful to have in rotation.These bras are perfect for around the house while I rest and for when I have to go for my mini walks to heal - I don't feel exposed with my boobs just hanging out there- there's a nice,gentle, light support.Once my swelling goes down etc., I'm going to come back and order a smaller size. It feels very soft and comfy. The price is excellent. However, I would only wear it at home, as it's not very flattering and makes one's bosom not very natural looking under clothing. Granted, I'm not in the habit of wearing sports bras and they may all fit like that. Also, given the design it shows if you have on a v-neck or a neckline that is slightly wide. Given the fit, I also wouldn't wear it for working out. It is a bit too big for me. Based on the chart, I ordered XL (for 36D) but the band does not fit snugly enough. Cup size is OK, but I don't like the padding so removed it. I don't understand why larger sizes need padding. I'm of the era where you only had padded bras if you were on the smaller size and wanted to look more curvy. :-) I ordered the pack with black, white and flesh tone. Not cupped, wire, no wire, sports, nothing. Don't like them, and they're just not needed. I'm an EBF mom, and decided I wanted something with LOTS of coverage and mild support; both for working out and for days I'm sore and just need that mild comfort.I am VERY happy with these. I am 225lbs. Measurements are 47 bust. 39 under bust. I got the XL and was pleasantly surprised how comfy they were. I tried them on right from the bag, so I don't have any info on how they handle being washed. However, the brief spell I had them on to try them out, I really loved these. The zipper is easy to secure and it's comfy everywhere. Nothing pokes.The ONLY reason I'm giving 4 stars is because despite being amazing, the top zipper/zipper cover shows through shirts. So there's a random bump showing in the middle of my chest. Now, I did only try it with one, thin shirt. So who knows it might do better with thicker garments.
