For heavier items, it's always a good idea to find a stud in the wall, however I was still able to get great results without finding the stud by using the included plastic anchors and screwing the base into the wall. As you can see in the video, the Hook is able to hold my heavy diaper bag, which has been hanging there for about a week and a half. For those who say that installation is difficult because of the screwing motion, just remember there is no way you are going to be able to rotate the included tool 360° that close to the wall. The key is to insert the tool with the handle pointing as far left as you can get, then rotating it as far right, pulling the tool out and then repeating the motion over and over again.
