Review: A Helix 5 for my trolling motor - I have a Helix 9 on my boat with a transom-mount transducer. I wanted something to view depth and fish while fishing from the seat at the front of the boat. I did not need all of the bells and whistles of my Helix 9, so I found this Helix 5. It does the trick. With an adapter cable, it works with my Minn Kota built-in transducer and gives me a view below the front of the boat. Sophisticated years ago, but now is a basic unit! The install was fairly simple and the unit works great. The unit is a little small (but has a decent size screen), and the winshield blocks the view, so I will have to get something to raise the unit up.
