What do i do about that , also my Rooster was pissed the body of jacket too long can or should i cut it** A: Hi Marsha, thank you for your question. Regarding the snap, just contact me through Amazon with your order number and I will totally refund the order so you can buy a new one, or contact Amazon customer service for a refund. Of the several thousand we have sold, that is the first report of a snap breaking ever. Regarding the length, you could shorten it, but we have never before had a report of it being too long to prevent mating. If that is the case it sounds like the saddle is too large for the bird you have it on, for breeding purposes. In a couple of weeks we will begin selling on Amazon a new saddle which is for bantams and small chickens. It is quite different in construction but will work excellently on small birds. Down Under Outdoors. **Q: Will this fit a bantam hen?** A: It would depend on what breed of bantam. If it was a larger bantam like an Orpington it would probably work OK but not the smaller bantams. It will be quite large but if it was being used to help a feather pecked bird recover, that wouldn’t matter The straps can be done up remarkably short and fit surprisingly small birds. You can actually shorten the straps to a super short extra position once you understand how the adjustment works, giving you 4 different lengths. If you were able to send me a photo I could probably answer your question more accurately. Assuming you have done up the straps correctly, the only time it bunches up is if it is quite a small chicken and so the saddle can be a little wide for it at the back of the neck. It can still function perfectly, but just not look as good. I know of two people that have done them up incorrectly and they bunched up a bit then. One put the saddle on upside down and another connected the straps to the snaps to close the flap and not to the middle snaps. Consequently those photos are still available to see, which makes the saddle look terrible when it was actually user error. Amazon does not allow me to contact them to inform them they are using it wrong. In a few months I hope to launch a low cost pack of 5 saddles that is specifically for young or bantam birds. In the meantime I hope what you have bought will do the job for you. I hope my answer has been some help.
