A: The 12 volt Black & Decker light weight variable speed Drill is brand new in a sealed box. The battery is 12 volt Lithium Ion which typically keeps it charge even when not in use as compared to a Ni-Cad  battery which tends to lose its charge when not in use. The package contains (1) battery (1)charger (1) double ended drill bit. The charger works with 120 v.

**Q: Can this drill handle masonry or brick?**
A: For drilling into cement or brick, we would recommend using a hammer drill with a masonry drill bit. If you do not have a hammer drill, we would recommend using a Bullet® Speed Tip masonry drill bit, which is designed for use in rotary drills.

**Q: Can you leave the battery in the charger so that it is always charged, or will that damage the battery?**
A: It will not harm the battery to leave it on the charger.
