The canvas material is old-school tough, and while it’s not going to win the local fashion show with the blaze orange, I must say the dark brown is a very nice color and would actually make a nice light jacket. The pockets are zippered, generously sized and easy to access game pocket. I especially like that the bottoms of the shotgun shell pouches are sewn closed, so shells are held in by the stretchy naterj, but they won’t fall out of the bottom either, and with the flap too, they’re secure without being difficult to access. I shoot a .410 for squirrels and rabbits, and two shells per pouch will work just fine. This is not true of the simpler designs you see on some vests with just a 1” strip of stretch material sewn in with openings on both ends. I’m 200lbs and the XL seems perfect for colder days over a jacket, or just over a long sleeve shirt too.
