The mic has a solid aluminum housing with a baked-on black splatter finish, so it looks pro-grade and feels it as well. Depending on my project, I'll often use higher-end mic systems to capture the audio - in that case I use this mic to capture audio so I can sync it to the multi-channel audio. マイク本体は外見を見る限りしっかりとした造りで高級感がありますが、マイクホルダーの大部分がプラスチック製ですので貧弱に見えてしまうのが残念。本体や付属品がすべて収納できるセミハードのケースが付属します。 使用しての第一印象は、指向性の強さです。このサイズでショットガンと謳ってるのを疑問に思っていたのですが、たしかにガンマイクに近いと感じます。いくらガンマイクとはいっても、遠く離れている人の声を狙って拾うのは無理があり、条件が良くても5m程度の距離が実用上の限界、人が大勢いる環境では1〜2ｍの距離でも対象をしっかりと狙わないと周囲の音に埋もれがちです。 後方の音はほとんど拾いませんので、カメラに装着して使用することをきちんと想定して設計されていることが分かります。付属のショックアブソーバーも効果はあるようで、カメラ本体からの振動はそれなりに軽減されます。 Panasonic GH5 に装着して使ってみましたが、ヒスノイズは気になるほどではありません。音質は、ロングサイズの2万円クラスのガンマイクとそれほど遜色はありませんが、高音域はやや貧弱な印象を受けますし、集音力はロングサイズにはとてもかないません。他のマイクでもそうですが、フサフサの風防は気休めと考えた方が良く、普通に風に吹かれるとまったく役に立ちません。モノラルですので、奥行きや左右の動きを音で表現することはできません。 デジタルでの出力もできるので、USB-Cタイプのケーブルを用意すれば、スマートフォンでも使えるようになっています。
