A: Sorry, I do not know.  I have not unwound it.  Your point is well made.  As I use it, I will check the total length.  The add states : " Style: W 0.08'' L 9.8' " - that is feet, not inches.  Perhaps you made a mistake, but it does say 12' ( feet ), the order options are for 9.8'(feet).  So on the discrepancy issue you are right, there is a disconnect.
