It is an offence to carry any sharp or bladed instrument in a public place, with the exception of a folding pocket knife where the cutting edge of the blade is 7.62 cm (3 inches) or less. But, I have an eating problem so carry this with me to cut up food. I am 80 so don't expect any trouble with the police. The knife does not appear to have a serrated edge. Unless it is so fine as to be invisible. However, I have been very pleased with it as it is very sharp in use.
