They last maybe one season or less, so they break and I just keep buy another one and another one. I haven't had this umbrella long and it hasn't been in the rain yet, but the feel and operation of it is great. I realize it's new so the springs and mechanisms haven't had a chance to wear in (or out) yet but as of now, the opening function is fast and snappy. Also it's not crazy hard to depress the button to open or close it, nor is is hard to collapse the pole when I want to close it. It feels solid and if it really does hold up to 100mph winds, not that I plan to be outside in that sort of weather, but if it can withstand that much wind and IF they really do offer a lifetime replacement warranty, then by all means, this umbrella is well worth the $23 paid. Given the build quality and the lifetime replacement warranty, I don't see why I would ever need to buy another umbrella for myself. This one is great! **Q: What exactly does “lifetime warranty” mean? how do i sign up for the warranty program and what exactly does it cover.**
A: Depends on the circumstances, apparently. Upper Echelon Products would not honor their Lifetime Warranty on our umbrella, saying that Amazon sold it to us through a reseller (this exception was not stated anywhere on the product page that clearly promoted the warranty). Upper Echelon Products recommended we contact the seller for help, but Amazon advised us that the seller had since left the platform. Amazon, in turn, would not honor the warranty or offer consideration.

**Q: How long have you had this umbrella for? Does it still work as well as when you first used it?**
A: I got my Umbrella June 13th, so I have had it for about 2 1/2 months now. I live in Florida and we are in the middle of rainy season, so I have had MANY opportunity's to use it! I REALLY like this Umbrella! So happy that I got it! It works exactly the same as the day I got it! Its even made it through the use of my younger kids! They love pressing the button and jump at the chance to be allowed to use it when getting out of the car in the rain! HA!

I had this umbrella for about a year. I live in an area where it rains a lot and loved this umbrella for it's size, easy of use and quick drying. I had noticed that the velcro closure was not working anymore from wear. Then we had a windy day with strong gusts and one of the ribs broke. I saw they have a lifetime replacement so I reached out to the company. They were extremely courteous, only asked for photos and sent out a replacement FAST. After receiving my new umbrella I see they updated the velcro closure, it is much more sturdy. I also have the peace of mind now knowing I can always just get it replaced. In today's world you can't beat buying any product for a reasonable price and getting a quality item with a lifetime warranty like this. Great umbrella by a superb company.
