## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is it really the 2017, because the price is higher most places**
A: I'm not sure about that but at this price you get a lot for your money, it comes in a red box. I used this yesterday surf fishing I was surprised how smooth this reel is in part because of the main gear where the handle is screwed in is much larger than reels in this class and smooth as silk, Bass pro shops and others sell the Diawa product at a much higher price it's about how much profit they need to make.Remember Amazon has the best return policy in the industry which I have used in the past.

**Q: Where can I get parts**
A: I would try Daiwa's customer support .

**Q: How is this reel for trout fishing in lakes and rivers?**
A: Thank you for your question,

The BG2500 is a model that was designed for saltwater inshore applications and may be a bit heavy for trout fishing.

For trout we would recommend the BG1500 or BG2000 as the optimal sizes in this series.

**Q: Is there a difference between bg and bg saltwater? or are they the same?**
A: Thank you for your question.

This model is the BG2500, sometimes referred to as the BG2500 saltwater, but it is the same reel.
