My two year old does some more free-form building, and my four year old is able to follow the directions to build the Search and Rescue Center. They love building Harold and Thomas and creating their own pretend adventures. My kids enjoy Mega Bloks for their ease of use, and it's been to add some pieces that get them pretending while they are building. These are the First Builders size of Mega Blocks. We also have a Thomas set that is the Juniors size and while the pieces are compatible (Juniors fit on First Builders), the trains are very different sizes. The bag is really sturdy and great for storage.
