**Q: How accurate is the temperature gauge?**
A: We have found a 4 degree difference:  if we set it at 74, it will cool to 70.

**Q: I'm looking for an HVAC thermostat.  Wondering if this was one as I don't see the term "HVAC" anywhere on here. I have electric heat and central air.**
A: This thermostat provides electronic control of 24VAC heating and cooling systems. You can see in the picture the switches for heat/cool and fan/auto. That's pretty much the definition of HVAC. It's a four-wire and if you see four on your old system to can be extra sure of no problems.

**Q: Can this thermometer be used for heat only via the wires are hooked in?  Also, when the battery dies, does one just throw the thermostat away?**

**Q: Can i use this on a 5th wheel hv 12v ac 110?**
