Fish are a lot more expensive and balancing the water is much more time consuming than freshwater! The a$$ hat above is a jerk! **Q: How much clearance do you need on top to access filters etc...** A: lets say the filter sponges are around 8 inch long and lift straight up in the center so lift the lid off and then filter 8 to 12 inches but you could go tighter if your good and not clumsy **Q: What are the pump specs? and should I upgrade?** A: Pump Output : 810 L/h (214 US Gal/h)- 120V/60 . remember the filter is set up to operate thru sponge so you realy dont want to speed up. i just had a friend ask and we are working on adding a fluval 307 i may drop down to a 207. Better to add a canister. **Q: Can you use this aquarium for freshwater or does it have to be saltwater ?** A: the LED is the saltwater version lighting so could cause algea issues in fresh.
