Review: Great for this amateur and easy to use - This set was perfect for my amateur cake making needed for my daughter’s birthday. I used the smaller platform to balance 6” round cake in top of an 8” round cake. I didn’t need to use the pillars as the cake was fine without them, with the smaller platform providing a sturdy base. As I had baked Madeira cake, this was already a dense cake, so the pillars weren’t needed. However, the pillars are easy to trim to size if needed and are all individually wrapped for hygiene. This set is excellent value for money and was a great help in my two-tier design. Stability of the cake overall was excellent.
