The handles this bag has are exactly what I needed to maintain a good grip on my bag while reaching into it while underwater. The clip for the straps was also great at keeping the bag closer to my body while I swam with it on my back or stomach - I also tightened them by simply reknotting the straps at the bottom. I just need to make sure to clean and dry the metal washer holes at the base of the straps after getting out of the ocean.
