The build quality is superb, the sheath locks up securely with the knife and the sheath is perfectly adequate and seems durable. The knife and sheath have a very slender design and very easy to carry on a belt, affix to a pack or stow in a pack. I like the way the handle feels in my hand. The only problem with the handle is that it may be difficult to maintain a good grip if it gets muddy or wet. The knife is solid and weighs less than half a pound so it is a great pack knife for capability and weight savings. Again, I really like this knife and I think it will make a great addition to my camping gear. I was so impressed with the first knife that I bought and recently received the second one. I cannot say enough good things about the quality of these knives. I recently touched up the edges on both and I was pleased with how well they sharpened. I would recommend a light coating of oil on the blade to prevent the exposed edge from developing rust, similar to K-bars. Other than that I would happily recommend this knife for camping and use around the house.

A: Hello and thanks for looking.  FDE is a color code for "Flat Dark Earth".  I know its cryptic, but we haven't been able to get it updated.

A: Yes it is made in Austria, the knives, the shovels and most of the pistols are. Just a good deal. It's a Styer Aug bayonet.

A: Yes it is a real Glock Knife, it is stamped and comes in a blister pack just like a pistol magazine. The saw back is an 81.

It’s a bit soft, but sharpens easily. I highly recommend for utility or for those who wish to learn sharpening. This is easier metal to sharpen, especially in the field with a small honing stone. The knife was delivered today and I was impressed with it. The build quality is superb, the sheath locks up securely with the knife and the sheath is perfectly adequate and seems durable. The knife and sheath have a very slender design and very easy to carry on a belt, affix to a pack or stow in a pack. I like the way the handle feels in my hand. The only problem with the handle is that it may be difficult to maintain a good grip if it gets muddy or wet. The knife is solid and weighs less than half a pound so it is a great pack knife for capability and weight savings. Again, I really like this knife and I think it will make a great addition to my camping gear. I was so impressed with the first knife that I bought and recently received the second one. I cannot say enough good things about the quality of these knives. I recently touched up the edges on both and I was pleased with how well they sharpened.
