The Skar Audio TWS-01 is a pair of 1-inch silk dome tweeters designed for high-performance in-vehicle audio. ## Description

The TWS-01 are 1-inch silk dome component tweeters engineered by scar audio to deliver the ultimate experience in high frequency sound reproduction. The powerful neodymium magnets of these tweeters allow for added sensitivity and extreme power handling capability. These tweeters make for a great addition to any vehicle, whether being used in conjunction with radio power or amplified power to really allow them to come alive. Sold as a pair. Frequency response: 2.0 KHz - 20 kHz, max power: 240 watts (pair), RMS power: 80 watts (pair). 4 Ohm impedance.

Review: Toyota Tundra dash speaker swap - just wow! - Wow. So far, these Skar tweeters are a great improvement to my Toyota Tundra (2013) factory setup with no other changes. In my Tundra with non-JBL sound, the factory components are 4ohm BASIC speakers with very low power handling driven by the stock head unit. I just wanted a little better high-end clarity to supplement the paper cone door speakers. The door speakers sound ok. But the dash speakers are tiny 2-inch paper cone speakers, not even true tweeters, and had muffled marginal sound. I didn’t realize quite how bad they were until I swapped-in these Skar tweeters. Wow. I’m able to set the treble at 50% and have TONS of clarity and crisp detail. And not just cymbals and high hat. It enhanced vocals, guitar, synth, you name it. And they didn’t drain all the power that was needed to continue powering the door speakers. The door and dash speaker and wired in series, so if you go with a 2 ohm tweeter or high-end component, it may negatively affect the power supply to the door speaker. It’s a goofy factory setup. I tested with a high-end speaker and it absolutely killed the power reaching the door speaker. But this Skar pair worked great! I’m running without the crossover because it seem to sound better. But I’ve had no problems so far. I just wired the Skar terminals right to the factory wires and made some suspending brackets out of metal strapping. Super simple and crazy good upgrade for the money. If you don’t want to go down the insane upgrading rabbit hole, maybe give these a try.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Toyota Tundra dash speaker swap - just wow!

Wow. So far, these Skar tweeters are a great improvement to my Toyota Tundra (2013) factory setup with no other changes. I just wanted a little better high-end clarity to supplement the paper cone door speakers. The door speakers sound ok. But the dash speakers are tiny 2-inch paper cone speakers, not even true tweeters, and had muffled marginal sound. I didn’t realize quite how bad they were until I swapped-in these Skar tweeters. These are amazing, clean, crisp and loud. Used them to replace some Boss that was not the best bit they also blew so after reading reviews and stuff, I got these. Wired them on myself for a few months now and now i have to turn down my top end frequency as its so loud.
