Review: Amazing cleaning power! - I have used literally almost every product out there for mopping my floors, and this stuff blew them all away ! Nothing cleans my floors as well as Hexol does ! I now know why this product has been around so long. I was talking to my mother in law about cleaning products and she mentioned growing up and her mother always used Hexol . I had never heard of it and so I looked it up and found it on desertcart . The videos about this product are true when they say you only need a capful per gallon . I even diluted it in a spray bottle and added a couple of drops in it, and it did and awesome job on the bathroom counters, sinks and toilet . I still love OdoBan for cleaning , but this stuff gives it a run for its money for sure ! The amount of dirt it got off of my tile floors absolutely shocked me . I mop once a week and normally mop with Pinesol or OdoBan and sometimes I mix it up and use Lysol or Mr. Clean just to have a different scent, but none of them clean as well as Hexol in my opinion and the evidence in my dirty water after mopping . Great product and it definitely has a permanent spot amongst my cleaning products now !

I've been having a problem with algae ring growth in all the toilets in the house. I've bleached them, I've used every toilet cleaner known to man. Nothing kept them algae free, other than bleach drop-ins, for more than 4-5 days. So far I have cleaned my toilets with Hexol twice and my algae problem appears to be basically GONE. Attached is a picture of my powder room toilet downstairs - one no one ever uses unless we have guests over for dinner or movies. Before Hexol, it would have an algae ring around the water line after 5 days. Here's what it looks like so far after 8 days without cleaning. (Someone lost a hair but I took the picture as-is to prove the toilet had not been cleaned.) Have changed nothing about my cleaning routine, the water in the house or the toilet except having started cleaning it w/ Hexol. As stated, I've cleaned it twice since buying the product. To clean the toilet, I use a regular toilet brush. I pour a few tablespoons of Hexol into the toilet, switch with the brush to get the Hexol mixed in and distributed up the sides of the toilet. I then walk away for 5-10 minutes, come back and scrub vigorously throughout the inside of the bowl and under the rim using the brush for a minute, flush and call it done. I'm not much on the "pine smell" but it does remind me of being at my grandmother's house as a kid. She used pine oil to clean all the floors and the bathroom. Scent or not, I

I hate that they seal the inside with those rubber gaskets instead of traditional proper seals that’s heated onto the rim of the bottle. There was leakage and the bag inside was sticky. A small portion of the product was wasted into the bag. Upon closer observation of the bottle under bright light, I noticed a small crack at the very top of the plastic bottle. I’m going to assume that’s where the leakage originated from. I didn’t notice the crack before because it was opened at night in an unlit room. They sent me a replacement bottle which was nice of them and why I’m giving 3 stars instead of the 1 I originally was going to give. The only complaint I had with the replacement bottle was that the bottle was not filled all the way to the top like the ones I buy from CVS or Walgreens. So it’s having me think, are they dumping a little out before shipment? Is it a used bottle? I don’t know but I don’t feel comfortable knowing anyone can just easily take off the gasket seal inside and use or contaminate the product without our knowledge. Hexol is a good household brand from back in the day. The smell is strong and antiseptic. Some people don’t like that but I don’t mind it at all. Hexol turns milky white when mixed with water because of the pine oil in it. It’s quite pricey ($8) for a small 16 oz bottle which is another complaint I have. A little cheaper in the stores, plus you get full bottles. It’s comparable to Dettol (from England) but I prefer Hexol because that’s what I grew up with. I hope they lower their price.
