I had never bought a privacy screen protector before and initially bought a Blackweb one from Wal-Mart. That one didn't stick to the screen, made the screen too dark when looking directly at it, and didn't seem to provide much privacy when seeing it from the side. It was promptly returned.I then began my searching Amazon for a privacy screen protector with good reviews. I came across this Tech Armor one and read review after review just praising the product. I bought it and received it two days later with Prime.I always install my screen protectors after running hot water for a while in the bathroom to avoid any dust particles in the air and did so during this install as well. Lined up the protector and laid it down on the screen. One simple touch in the middle and I could see the protector adhering to the entire screen. Obviously this is nothing new but it actually covered the entire screen on it's own compared to me usually having to give it some extra pressure here and there.This screen protector feels extremely smooth and feels like the original glass. It is almost as bright with this on as the normal screen being naked. That was one of the things I was looking for and I assure you it will be plenty bright even with your phone set to half brightness. When looking at it from the side it totally blacks out which is where the privacy part comes in I guess. If your phone is at full brightness then you can still see some light coming through from the side but everything is blurry so it still provides privacy. As far as feel, it feels to be built with good quality. I haven't dropped it yet so I can't say for sure how tough it is but it seems like it will be fine. It is smaller than the outside of the screen which is something they tell you in the description. This worked out perfect for me because I have an I-Blason Supcase Unicorn Beetle case and it fit the opening perfectly.Short story- this is a quality screen protector, provides plenty of privacy, easy to install, and most important is it is still very bright when looking directly at it. That part works (well) day and night. For instance, I was out on a date recently, and had the phone mounted in my car so I can see the GPS on the phone. To my date's dismay, she remarked, "Is your phone even on?"... Not only was it nighttime, but the phone was indeed on. She simply could not see it through the privacy feature.Mission accomplished.Sure, the screen does dim your phone (most noticeable when using the phone outside on a sunny day), but for those who use public transportation, fly a lot, or simply do not wish to have your business exposed, this privacy protector is a great option.I like it so much, I now plan to purchase one for my iPad.Hope this helps.UPDATE: Since I purchased this screen protector it had done the job until my screen broke. That said, I have since replaced it. The new one I received is not as effective as the last one I had. Not sure if it's a quality control issue, but my phone is no longer as 'private' as if once was.
